It’s interesting that they are bumping up against the ring and pinion for torque limit. I think back in the TJ era a Dana 44 was a helluva upgrade axle set, but given the weight and size gain of these things it sounds like they are just barely keeping pace. I think the Wrangler is getting the point where it can’t get

There was a Porsche to the left, I wonder if this dumbass was showing off or street racing.

The ugly Camaro was introduced and sales actually fell. Now the less ugly (but still ugly) Silverado is introduced and Chevy loses second place to Ram.

So sad. I bought my 18 with the base trim, 4x4, diesel and manual transmission. Didnt realize it would be the last year. Hell, I spec’ed mine on the 2017 builder and have the ram boxes which may just make my truck a unicorn as the boxes aren’t an option on the base model anymore.

It’s not a real manual truck transmission unless it’s 3-on-the-tree. :)

Kenworth has your back.

One of the best anti-theft devices too.

Sigh...there goes one of the best, most effective deterrents for keeping people from borrowing or asking to use your truck.

As a 3/4 ton burby owner, I can verify this.

If you floor it to pass someone on the highway - and you CAN pass them WITH a trailer attached - the gas gauge moves faster than the tach!

Yeah, with my 4wd 350 I did my math based on getting 10mpg because it made the math easy and then I was pleasantly surprised when I got 12. When gas spiked filling that thing’s 42 gallon tank was just painful. I learned that a lot of pumps used to stop at 75 dollars. Then many raised it to 100.

I wonder how much this would change if gas was close to $5.00 per gallon. It seems in the past that people who are poor at math (most of America) would take a huge loss selling their gas guzzling SUV to buy a new more fuel-efficient car. If gas goes up again, will this happen or will people get better at math?

People like to buy the best of each category, perceived or reality it doesn’t matter. They tend to gravitate to imports when it comes to sedans and domestics when it comes to trucks.

Noob just has the crosswind knob set wrong.
