Actually Skype isn't a free option if you want to have more than one person on the screen.

If you mean the actual white dotted stitch line then I applaud you with lulz!

I wouldn't really call a company with 16 million users " not widely known beyond a small community."

I do not believe the tone of his text was to portray individuals against companies. I feel that his opinion was more of the "get over yourself" variety. I tend to agree. There is no reason to call a site down for not participating in a blackout of SOPA when their stance has been made clear that they are against SOPA

How? Why is it that when MineCraft or Notch do something it's obviously a publicity stunt?! Seriously, when a company or individual of monetary worth stands up for what they believe in it's a publicity stunt? Come on.

What strike? Where's the picket line? This is a protest, a bubbling of logic from those that know to show those that don't something they should be taking notice of. This is less like striking for better wages and more like handing out flyers and having an assemblage. No website has gone on strike as far as I know,

And THAT makes my day!

I was merely speaking about standard cryptography, not salted or rolling, thus I intentionally left those out of my reply. Also, I agree with your assessment and would reassert my comment that mostly this doesn't matter with today's hacking tools.

"Exactly, I say this all the time: there is no substitute for length."

My thoughts exactly! XKCD already did an info graphic on strong passwords.

Repeating characters in a standard encrypted password would have a repeating character while encrypted. Basic cryptography would show the though you may have encrypted your a's to be 5's those 5's would then repeat in the same fashion for every a. This would cause you password to be les secure, though with today's

" I've had people walk up behind me, apparently neglect to see that I'm wearing headphones, and hold an entire conversation without me even knowing they're there."

I've always done this, though more out of paranoia, which I guess is actually main topic of this either way.

Oh good, I thought it was just me feeling disappointed in CES this year. It felt like they were living up to the Consumer part of the name, since most techies already new about and form opinions on the stuff they "released." Hopefully CTIA will be better.

In their defense, Dropbox has notably done something that the iCloud team hasnt been able to, and that's access the Finder properly.

To bad the Twitter post said, "Learn how to give a better message with these expert tips." Not really what one expects when you read that. :)

Huh, eloquent, concise, and accurate. +1 for a great reply.

No, it has more to do with what whether your ip shows in the time that they are logging connections to a torrent.

I was going to disagree with you, until I reread the comment (something more people should do). I should have stated, as I intended, that the whole POPULAR election process is a sham. To clarify more thuroughly, I am speaking of what we term "The Presidential Elections."

Thus illustrates my point. peoples rights aren't stripped away, they are given away. Those who do not choose to understand and work the system thereby give away their rights to a proper election that has the possibility of changing the system as we know it.
