I get not feeling the total impact of the episodes twist, but boring? A slog? No way.

The disease that Lillian had was meningitis, instead of typhoid.

You make a valid argument. But from my perspective, I think that Sam hasn't been able to express himself properly. The arc this season ended with him just letting everything go, for the sake of Dean, and I think that was a mistake.

He has arcs, but we rarely if ever see his emotional perspective. Everything that Sam does, or Dean does, or Castiel does, is filtered through a Dean-centric lense. Not that that is a bad thing; Jensen Ackles is more than up to the task, but it lacks perspective and, to be quite frank, it's a little bit lazy.

Yup. After Gadreel left Sam's body, it was back to the same old "Dean is emoting" crap. When they were at each others throats at least Sam had some material to work with; the idea that he would let his brother die was incredibly seductive and worthy of exploring but of course (though I was happy to see this) the

Harsh grader. I think Padalecki was absolutely as good as Ackles this year.

Wow. I thought this was a B or B+. Wasn't a bad episode.

A C? Jesus. That's harsh.

"I just feel the popularity of episodes like this is like the suburban sheltered people who love to go slumming to be "real"."

Oh I agree. I just think it's great work by the show to be able to both justify (at least marginally) Rust and Mary's actions while as well pointing out the destruction their recklessness has caused.

Probably my favorite part of the episode was how much destruction was left in Rust's wake. It mirrors (on a more devastating scale) the damage that Marty left behind. Because Rust did all this to catch this one guy, he indirectly caused the death of several bikers, black men and women, and probably cops.

I think C- is pretty harsh. I liked this episode. It had its slow moments, but I think it was a solid episode.

I thought this weeks episode was much better than last weeks. I see where you're coming from on a lot of points, but I thought they were better executed than you did.
