Panoz LMP01

Starting @ $38000 CAD + taxes comes to around $43000 CAD out the door if you get the base model and don’t get any extras.

If every carmaker had an option like the Bolt that would be great for competition and might drive the retail price down a bit.

Bolt starts @ $40K CAD. It needs to be under $30K CAD. A Honda Fit retailed for around $18K CAD but I realize that price is unfortunately unrealistic for an EV. I don’t have a problem with the Bolt, I’d drive one.

I agree that there should be a Honda Fit size EV that is both economical to drive and purchase/own. EV’s don’t have to be so expensive.

GM’s 2.8L v6 from the 80's-90's that was in a bunch of cars. The sound of these engines along with the crappy exhaust systems of every Pontiac, Chevrolet, Buick and Oldsmobile is burned into my memory. It sort of sounds like a worse version of the VQ with a lower rpm redline.

I think at the time these trucks were considered not useful and were unpopular. Niche vehicles never do well at dealer auctions because they want what sells fast.

It might have been possible to get these trucks for even less. I remember seeing 2 go through that nobody bid on. These auctions were super quick like 5-10 seconds a car with multiple lanes going at the same time. I think it was called Manheim.

Yes, if you had a dealer auction license. I worked for a dealer group that was mostly Toyota so we mostly picked up 4 year old Corollas for 6-7,000 and resold them for 12-15,000. Once and a while we got a Lexus that the Lexus dealers passed on.

I remember back in 08-09 these things were going through the auctions and no one from used dealers would bid on them. I could have got one for like $5000 back then.

I remember the Ford Freestyle from around this time. If memory serves me it was basically a rebadged Volvo V70. I think Ford at one time owned or partially owned Volvo.

Can’t argue with that.

You are correct sir. Wow I guess he was extra lucky that day.

Add Alonso in Australia when his car flipped against a wall. I think it was around 2017

I mean, insurance is basically a scam and nobody was hurt so I only see upside here.

Toyota Celica Dragon

I always heard (since early 00's) the current Corvette race cars will never be offered to private teams. I don’t care either way, I just want more quality cars on the grid.

bring that other corvette back to imsa!
