I agree with this to a point. I was run off over at the Scream Queens forum for having the gall to point out that the reviewer was taking the show entirely too seriously.

"Why do you wear so much…purple?" My husband still randomly quotes that from time to time.

We did the same thing…recorded it to watch later and then realized we watched old eps of Magnum PI before even thinking about watching Wicked City and then, well…it gets cancelled. Frees up space on our DVR for more eps of Bar Rescue.

That was actually a great show.

Are we all required to like what she says? What the hell happened to the AV Club where you could have a dissenting opinion? Good grief. Do we need to preface all our comments with micro-aggression trigger alerts going forward?

The same can be said for her recap, hence my response. I didn't say she wasn't allowed her opinion. Recap away. I'm allowed to disagree, believe it or not.

Right? At the very least, she could've taken off Scalia's mask.

I'm definitely not the target demo for this show, but my husband and I consistently get a kick out of this show every week. We don't overthink it or overanalyze it, we just enjoy the silly plot lines and clever (IMO) dialogue. It's a guilty pleasure. Criticizing it for not being something it clearly was never intended…
