One of my architecture professors told us the story (he was an awesome story teller) of the one-seater race plane that he built by hand. At his house. In the master bedroom. (I don’t remember why “garage” was not an option). Long story short, he had to remove the front wall of the house to remove it when he was done.

That is actually cut pile carpet - it was a huge step forward in sophistication over the shag carpet of the 70's - this car was for power elite, far removed from the hippie class (liberals need not apply)

This is a great thread! Here is my advice. Find a gearhead friend who was 16 in the mid 80's (hint - many have posted here). Ask that friend what car they lusted after when they were 16. Buy that car and store it along with parts needed to restore it. It will be worth a fortune when those same individuals hit

It isn't lighting the earth on fire because it isn't a small (or mid-size) truck. Instead of producing a small truck, they have produced a full size truck that is too small. GM understands that a Sonic is not an Impala, yet can't seem to understand what a small pick up truck is.

I helped my mother-in-law buy one of these in '08, the salesman tried to convince us that the chrome "vent" was a stylish feature that made the upgrade package worth it. He wasn't happy when I asked him if the dealer could remove them (they wouldn't). Its actually a pretty good car, dangles be dammed.

I am, of course available to help with taste testing!

Sooo... this assumes that the makers of cheap whiskey, with their quality control departments, and product innovation departments (google "devils cut") never investigated filtering their product through charred wood to improve the taste? Believe it or not, educated scientists live and work in KY and TN (I assume some

The worst "de-badging" is when it comes from the dealer. My son worked for a time at a local Hyundai dealer doing new car prep. The dealer offered a "wing package" on new Genesis' that involved removing the "H" and installing a wing badge instead. Apparently a lot of people will pay extra to hide the fact that they

As a teenager in the late 70's my dad bought a '60 CJ-5 from a farmer. 40k original miles, it had never been titled and the body was mostly rusted away. We welded it together, put big wheels on it and seat out of an old Pinto. It was a great around town vehicle, and would pull forever. It had lots of 'challenges'
