Let’s wait and see the actual plan, shall we?
Let’s wait and see the actual plan, shall we?
No.
Being able to afford something is different from agreeing to the value of something. To each his own, of course. Like I said, not for me.
I pay $50 to go out to eat. That doesn’t mean I want to pay $50 for take out or delivery. Seeing a movie on the big screen with big sound is why I will (on occasion) pay the ticket and concession prices. If this is what they want for home viewing, I’m out. That’s all I can say.
The only time your point matters is for the number 9 itself. After that, all bets are off.
Completely untrue, it happens all the time. We have vacuum gauges (for house vacuum lines) reading inches of Hg... all our vacuum systems read Torr... except one that reads Pa. Our gases are in PSI, but all our furnaces are C. Our cryo pump temp readouts are Kelvin... but our room temperature is F. That’s the pain of…
The CO2 emitted to make these things is the big culprit.
That’s soooo Descartes :-)
These ‘robots’ have been around for years. There used to be greeting card vending mahines (there was one in a Target near me... but they got rid of it)... they would draw the card and write your message in perfect script (or whatever font). It was really cool to watch the card take shape in about 2 minutes... But alas…
I must confess, I had to google alginate spheres in the first place :-)
This comments section reads like freshman philosophy class. Good times.
Alginate spheres are just liquid contained in a shell. Try putting an alginate sphere into the freezer... it’ll freeze. Or rupturing one at room temperature... it’ll stay liquid. This is quite different.
And cam-less engines are not a new concept. And they still aren’t “here” until they are mass produced and proven not to fail catastrophically. Most engines are interference... now instead of worrying about 1 timing belt/chain failing... you’d have to worry about 8 to 32 actuators failing. I’m not saying this isn’t the…
That’s a low blow. There was a lot that went into that site... political, emotional... it wasn’t slow because we couldn’t get our act together. Shame on you for using that as an example.
Dare Devil anyone?
I hope, if this makes its way into practical use, that we establish ‘plastic degradation vats’ where the bacteria are contained. Let’s not release this into the wild (depsite what the genetic engineers say is ‘safe’)... we don’t need another kudzu... or cane toad.
You obviously put way more thought into this than I. :-)
Insert needs a scale bar... I assume images are at same scale?
You are spot on concerning the use of herbicides on GMO crops. This is a big reason to be anti-GMO. We pour on round-up like water... because “Hey, it’s OK, the GMO crops can handle it.”
My point, since you seem unable to get it, is anti-GMO is not anti-science. A big reason to be anti-GMO is many crops are GMO so they can be doused with herbicides and pesticides. I think promoting the liberal use of these is wreckless. I am quite adept at science. I have a BS and PhD... I have authored and…
