They didn’t have 8 years lol. They announced it 8 years ago. They only started development in 2016.

I use an XBox controller for my PC so I can recline and game like a nobleman.

That means they’re probably in talks with Sony and trying to help. Simple as that.

God of War 3 can't be compared to downscaling Cyberpunk graphics... The level of complexity that has to be removed from the game to make it work is extraordinarly high.

That e-mail is specifically for customers who purchased the game from a physical retailer, not XBL or PSN. “For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you.”

“The reason [we didn’t show the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One] is that we were updating the game on last-gen consoles until the very last minute, and we thought we’d make it in time,” Iwiński said. “Unfortunately, this resulted in giving it to reviewers just one day before the release, which was definitely too

“Worth $8 billion” is not revenue.

Nope, you’re not. Daikatana sunk an entire studio and was unplayable in any form. CP2077 made close to half a billion dollars on release weekend, is by all accounts really great on a sufficiently powerful machine, and will likely make $1-2b when all is said and done, even after the refunds and the drama.

Paying their devs their full bonuses even though they know they are not likely to reach their goals for one. The lack of layoff’s. Their work on supporting their games. The refusal of anti consumer anti piracy measures like denuvo. The fact that they are owning this issue and firmly placing it on their management as

I’m actually shocked that such a small amount of it’s  sales were on console.

It’s funny, to read Kotaku, one would think that the Cyberpunk 2077 launch was an unmitigated disaster, yet everyone I talk to (even those on last gen consoles) are telling me that they enjoy the game and any issues they have run into have been minimal.

In the last 30 years I have loaned out maybe two games to a sibling, and I have never, ever resold a game I bought, so, that’s a huge ol’ shrug from me.

Ehhh...Considering the themes of the game. I don’t think the tone is BLACK PEOPLE ARE MORE VIOLENT. More like that it’s acknowledging that the police overwhelmingly target minorities.

Think this is a case where woke twitter missed the joke.

That seems way more like a jab at that whole thing, than some kind of racist dog whistle...

Didn’t they always say it was a first person game from the get go?

The only “dropped feature” that I can think of was the wall-running mechanic that was removed for “design reasons”.

Not hating on you or anything.... but it was always going to be a first person game, wasn’t it?

This struck me as odd too:

Sure, but just because those themes aren’t explored doesn’t mean other themes aren’t. It certainly looks like it delves into other issues associated with the genre, such as corporations, inequal distribution of wealth, status, and the dehumanizing aspects of technology.

I played Witcher 2 a lot more than 3. Assassins of Kings has a great plot! Nuff said
