I wish we could get some sort of Blade Runner style Final Cut. Take the few good things about the special editions and cut out all the bullshit.

I’m going to catch flak for this, but, this is, structurally, a totally reasonable decision. Cost/benefit tradeoffs are ones we make every single day, by necessity. We’d be safer if highways had 30mph limits and speed cameras every 200 feet to enforce them, while everyone was requiring to ride in vehicles with the…
Sounds about right for Alabama. I live slightly to the north of it myself, in Tennessee, which isn’t much better. But um . . . I’m pretty sure the statue being referred to is in Birmingham, hardly a small town.
Cottonmouth’s death COULD have worked if it had been used to position Mariah as the season’s true villain: she’s a three-dimensional, interesting character who Luke can’t beat by just punching stuff.
I was so excited when Mariah sat Cottonmouth down and pointedly asked him “can we drown him, can we poison him?” I was expecting to see them do something really clever to stop Luke, but then they develop a better bullet and take away the thing that makes Luke Cage interesting.
Nah, with the production schedule, they made the change before anyone saw the first few.
I’m so happy The Expanse is still getting love. I can’t wait for Season 2, which seems like it’s going to kick it up all the notches.
The Person of Interest pic is missing Root and Bear :-(
Luke Cage was fine, but once Cottonmouth was removed I lost a lot of interest. We had one of the most interesting and dynamic villains in the MTVU, and then you literally throw him out a window so you can bring in what was easily the most boringly predictable, moustache-twirling baddie I’ve seen since General…
I have to agree it got off to a great start and once cottonmouth was gone....it just felt empty.
Killing Cottonmouth was such a huge mistake. My gf and I took a break from watching for a few months
You are right. Those 20% are older people. They did not get it drilled into their head since kindergarten about the apocalyptic dangers of CO2. They were not taught about global warming in school at all. But the media did alarm them about the pending ice age. And that if we did not change our ways we would freeze.…
Sure does look like McCarthyism. No scientist has the right to question our interpretation!
2 Points here.
I was thinking they would be going with the current flavor of the month. A Green Lantern from a planet of apes...
No. People, particularly his critics focus on the military because of course that’s where the action is taking place but they ignore the fact that you don’t have to join the military to get the vote. Any government service will do. The requirement is that you spend two years or more in public service. They also ignore…
Yeah, Starship Troopers is anything but fascistic. Everything in it boils down to personal choice, and whether or not to choose to pay the costs those choices require. This is why the antagonists are the epitome of perfect communism, a hive society.
That quote just reignited everything that pissed me off about that movie and all the others that went after it.
“we felt that the novel was fascistic and militaristic.” He has stated before that he didn’t read but a bit of the book before he made this atrociously stupid move.
