A better comparison would be BANDAI America with BANDAI Japan. E.g. the Power Rangers/Super Sentai toys, same toys for same target audience but huge quality difference.

No wonder the whole anime felt so stretched out and most of the time nothing happens.

Agree. If you start Fate series with ufotable’s FSN:UBW, Ilya would just be some little girl died.

I don’t mind changes when adapting a material into a live action movie as long as it’s a good film by itself.

Edge of Tomorrow made so many changes (everything except the concept is changed) from the source material (All You Need is Kill japanese novel) but it is still a great film.

Lately he is kind of important.

**Minor Spoiler Ahead**
The manga is slowly revealing the importance of the Ackerman line/family.

I think you will. Little Witch Academia is more magical like classic Disney stuff combining with Trigger’s artstyle. Recommend you to watch the original first to understand more about the characters.

Saw that when Namco Bandai released the trailer on their Youtube channel. Miyazaki is such a busy man now, working on 2 titles and being the president.

I was very disapoointed that the B-team couldn’t reconstruct Miyazaki’s vision, essence and art direction of the Souls franchise into DS2. DS2 is a good game by itself but not worthy of its title (to me at least). On the other hand, I was glad that Miyazaki (and his team) went to work on Bloodborne. I do prefer

Beat Takeshi was in Battle Royale

I was glad that Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team worked on Bloodborne instead. Prefer him to create a new IP with fresh ideas.

The English clip and trailer isn’t enough for me to give a verdict.

How’s the English dub? I watched the film in Japanese dub last year.

The more you know: Miyazaki listed When Marnie was There as one of his top 50 recommended children’s book.

The rise of indie games are great but Steam Greenlight is still broken and massive clones on mobile platform needs to be solved.

Now playing

Gyakuten Saiban (aka Ace Attorney) is the best video game-to-live action film adaptation I’ve seen.

Technically based on the novel All You Need Is Kill. But since the novel was inspired by video games.... I’ll give it a pass.

Wait till you see what happens next

You’re right. I tried MaiMai once (on a novice lvl) and I got friction burn. Frequent players would wear gloves to play. MaiMai is quite famous till people are hogging the machines all day long. The crowd has shift from DDR to MaiMai (in my region at least)

Arbiters can also choose both players to reincarnate or to be sent into the void. The masks on the elevator entrance reveal which path the players are sent to but it can fool us as the masks can be flipped around and change into the opposite.

It’s just a nod from studio Madhouse since they did both shows.
