Milk Street Kitchen’s version is easy as can be and about 80% of what you’d get in S’pore/HK. The hardest part is getting quality chicken that’s properly sized - every damn chicken at the supermarket is 5 lbs or bigger. I like the 3-4 lbs size for Hainan Ji Fan.
