Have you tried VPNing from Canada/Europe? If you can borrow someone's cable credentials, you can login to ESPN Watch, but I don't know if there's a solution for TNT or NBATV.

Not sure. I might have to let others weigh in.
...sadly I haven't run into that being much of a problem in my city :'(
Unless your IP is from somewhere else, where the PIA VPN comes it. It works really well, is easy to use, and is relatively cheap. I've been using it to watch local games for mlb.tv and NHL gamecenter without issue.

Hey there. One request regarding the Hackerspace coverage, could you link to this page for how to become an author and how to write on Hackerspace?http://hackerspace.lifehacker.com/always-up-to-d…
Since Barbie wrote the 'ask here to be an author post' but is not around anymore, a lot of requests have gone unanswered.

I don't always do this, but when I do, I thank myself later for it. Very good tip to keep in mind.
My problem is that I often forget to do little things like this. I prefer to write the email and schedule it to send in the morning. That way it is off of my mind and I don't have it hanging over me all night as a task that I need to do in the morning...plus brownie points for being johnny-on-the-spot with an 8:05am…
it's absolutely a case of peers enabling each other, more than a particular policy that allows this kind of behavior.
You could also put your pay dates for other bills in the same place. Turn a helpful reminder on a card into a fully fledged cheat sheet.
Also, (I believe) it helps for credit checks since if you have a running balance on the first of the month, it counts against your available debt ratio, even if you pay it off every month.
Not to ruthlessly write off a product with a snap judgement, but it would be the first thing that I own with the word "bro" on it. That would be a tough pill to swallow. If I smoked, I could see me getting behind something like it though.
It was super uncomfortable. Shameless.
Thank you! honk, honk.
Yeah, most cities have some sort of logical city planning that went into them. If it's not descriptive street names, it's alphabetical, or something. Unless you're in London, where you are fucked since the same street changes its name every other block.
Ha, np :)
I see you still have some to learn:
Nice post. I agree with the "where you live" bit. Having moved in DC at pretty much the worst possible time, when a new cycle of congressional staffers were all looking for dirt cheap apartments, it can truly be the pits. After a few apartment showings, we quickly learned that you needed to be prepared with your…
Sometimes, when I find myself getting distracted constantly, I set a timer when doing tasks. If I've gotten distracted, the alarm lets me take a step back and refocus on the big picture and the task that I initially started with.
Thanks for highlighting a good technique for the common solution (blade grinder) even though it may not be the best solution (burr grinder).
