Newb question who hasn’t really played FF since FFX: the chaotic number cloud of attack HP when an attack is happening...how is that at all useful? It makes it impossible to actually gauge how much damage you are outputting. Part of the fun was to see how you level up and you can actually see your damage output Read more

My tip: Shift-T in Gmail on desktop creates a task from the selected email. It includes a link back to the email. Very handy.

Our corruption is a little more cloak and dagger. The people stealing the money are actually the rich people who pay ‘free speech money’ to politicians who vote for tax cuts for the rich. Your system just cuts to the chase and pays the politicians directly.

Yeah, it’s the equivalent of a DC tourist trap. So many better things to spend your time on. If you must spend money on a museum, go do to the Newseum. Otherwise stick to the Smithsonians and free stuff. Air and Space is perfect for the 8-15 yr old crowd. Also the Air and Space Annex in Virginia is awesome (where the Read more

I would vote for PIA as well. I’ve found that VPN use is annoying if you have to turn it off/on for different services. PIA’s chrome extension makes that suuuuuper easy as long as you only care about running chrome traffic through the VPN. Read more

Yeah, this is welcome. Thanks. I remember trying to rotate a ton of pictures that I imported. I ended up writing an AHK script that simulated mouse clicks where the “open,” “rotate,” “close,” “next” buttons were. What a mess that was. Now I can just have a AHK script that says “down,” “shift+R.” So much better (only Read more

Yeah, I feel like this worked well for some classes. Not for others. I did pretty well in my engineering and math classes without reading one page of the textbook or supplemental reading. I would jump straight to the problem set and skim for concepts I specifically was going to be tested on. Once I had to get my Read more

Not exactly analogous, but if you use chrome canary build for work and chrome standard for personal, it works pretty well. I have found it to be helpful to keep things separate for ease of use.

It works. I got a new headset that was less bouncy when I ran it it worked great. Still not something I do on regular runs as it’s a lot to fiddle with, but I sometimes do. I just wish I could play podcasts too, not just Google Play Music.

I’m in the same boat. Similarly, the same disconnect exists with phone calls. I recently got Google Project Fi and switched my GV# to Project Fi and that got Google Hangout calls to show up on my Android Wear, however message stuff like this is still disconnected and overlooked. Frustrating.
