Flame war alert/way to many comments to make use of... This should probably have been posted as poll (or not at all)

It's elegant and beautiful. At least compared to its eventual offspring, those god-awful Geocities sites.

Kind of unrelated, but it's still annoying and something I'd like some attention on. Android ad supported apps, which I have nothing against since they pay developers, except that they apparently kill your battery. Sometimes developers don't offer ad-free versions of their apps. Has anyone been annoyed enough that

True, true. I bet the % value drop for gadgets and cars is roughly equal (unboxed vs driven off the lot).

Considering you're going to loose your number anyways, you could take the opportunity to make the switch to Google Voice, and then use a portable 4G hotspot and use it as a VOIP phone for the interim.

But the Nexus 7 is the Mazda 3 of tablets. Infinitely useful, but not super spendy. You could sell your BMW...er, iPad.

Scoundrel! (though that would totally work)

Been watching "Hell on Wheels" via Netflix for the last week or so. It's pretty good, though I'm sure it's not a very accurate depiction of events (esp in regards to the Native Americans). Anyone else been watching?

Gawker used to have combined feeds, but they were with the old system and aren't available anymore, I don't think. One thing that really helps with the RSS feed is using their VIP feeds which have the full article on the feed itself vs a link to the full article. The thing that still sucks is you have to go to the

I use a combination of Google Tasks (with the paid Android app "Tasks" on my android devices), a pen/paper (knockoff Moleskin notebook), and a todo.txt file that is shared via dropbox to any/all devices I use. Google Drive for anything more serious.

On my nexus 7, I use Google Reader for feeds, Alkido for books (song of ice and fire, right now), Chrome when a browser is required, mplayer for movies on planes, shortyz crosswords for my Will Shortz fix. I use my phone still for podcasts, so Doggcatcher doesn't get much use on the nexus. I'm finding Google Now to be

I should have given a disclaimer... Sometimes links should be shortened, sometimes they need to see the light of day. I think I'll go lookup how to make links not auto-shorten in the commenting system now.

I thought of this.

I believe that you should try keep your rotation down. It's been a while since high school x-country, but I remember that all motion should be focused forward and back, limiting any side to side/rotation. To show proper form, my coach used a stick about the width of the torso to demonstrate that your hands should stay

After converting the church of mac, they're all about Safari.

They are still supporting that? I was thinking about how that portal to the internet would look today...I guess I could find out.

Thanks for this, this is simple and great.

Agreed. The only programs I use on a regular basis are now Chrome and Steam (outside of work). Games still have a ways to go before they are fully integrated in the browser, but there are (promising) steps in that direction.

Vote: google tasks.
