What do you think of the new "Help Yourself" posts?
Some more reasons to go to this forum type of setup is searchability and repeat questions. Your question today may have been asked and answered by some awesome commenters on yesterday's Help Yourself post. Without means for a proper search (btw: redesign=horrible search experience), the answer would need to be…
However, lets say you're generally busy on Fridays, and that's the day picked for the weekly question session (like the weekly OT is). You're away, unable to ask your question. You get to it Saturday morning, and no one is looking at a 24 hr old post anymore, you are definitely not going to get your question answered.
It would have to be, right? I wouldn't feel safe with a non-burnable OS download.
If you can manage to find a tv show direct download (non-torrent), you can have your cake and eat it too. VLC plays currently downloading files (just click "do not fix" when it asks you). Chrome's downloads have the .crdownload filetype and VLC has no problem at all with them (though the skip/tracking can be a little…

Merci beaucoup, mon ami. Merci.
Very off topic, but a quick question for you. When commenting, how do you edit the link display text (changing the "[url.url]" format to "this")? I've tried a couple things in the past, but I just get gobbledygook.

...and that's what millions of IE6 users say. I still use Chrome, but I'm saying...that's not a valid viewpoint here. Why do you read LH if not to get ideas to make things that aren't broken even better?
The picture looks fine here on the site, but my Google Reader Giz feed's pic is way too big. Haven't had this problem before, but maybe it is something to look into.
Ah yes, reminds me of...[www.youtube.com]
After playing around with the browser, I really like it. Especially the scroll up/down with the volume buttons feature. Very nice. I wonder if I can get this type of functionality for the Google Reader app...
This is an interesting concept. Though I don't see the single lens scaling up (you would need a really large lens to get enough separation between the images for everyday objects). I wonder if this array setup with 9 images rather than 2 would yield better 3D.
I'll probably throw the rss into gReader until I remember why I stopped email Facebook notifications in the first place. T-5 days and counting.
