You forgot to add "man". The quote goes "Yeah? Well, you know… that's just lai-ke… your opinion, man." Close but no cigar. And yeah, it should be obvious it's my opinin, that's why I posted it under my name.

Winter Soldier was extremely predictable and cliché. I was able to map out the whole film's plot within the first few minutes of it - even the ending was corny and dumb as hell. GOTG on the other hand was fun, playfull and did not take himself at all seriously. To my mind GOTG was as great as the avengers film while…
Just when I was starting to cut some slack to Goyer due to his involvement in the somewhat sucessfull adaptation of Hellblazer via the "Constantine" series he gets back on my bad side by pulling something like this.
Betrayal will probably not be an issue. My guess is she is on the run from the Ressurection Crusaders and hopes Constantine will provide a much needed insight on her powers and an additional protection. Of course I'm basing that idea on the comics but alas.
Sorry, but you got it wrong. She did not murder anybody. She just wanted him to check if the record was legit. She specifically warned him not to hear it and at that point knew nothing about it's "persuasive" characteristics.
I just rewatched this movie recently. I think it's a pretty great movie and the concept of having as a hero an african-american detective in a segregating America is a great premise. I've never read any of the Easy rawlins novels so i do not know how eficiently the novels were translated to film but the movie sure…
Your comments pretty much explains my love of horror movies for most of my teen and young adult life. That and chronical onanism… "sigh"
I generally prefer to watch horror past eleven with all the lights out and completly alone (or with the girlfriend so that I don't have to sleep alone and duck under the covers after acting like a macho and laughing at her screams just a few minutes before).
Well, they were worth every penny spend on them. Profitable and wickedly entertaining. I get why alot of people didn't much care for them (it was somewhat padded and less epic inscope than their three predecessors) but I was not one of them. Overstreched or not, I was not bored once and am eagerly anticipating the…

"No Batman = No Interest"
Yes, he released "Easy Tiger" as a solo album at the time due to contractual obligations, but he often stated in press releases that he was backed by the Cardinals on the album and that it was a Cardinals album. Furthermore alot of the songs on the album are credited to have been co-written with the Cardinals. I agree…
Ryan Adams is probably the least consistent artist I have heard - for better or worse. Heck, Ryan Adams the album sounds like 70's pop - which is not much like any previous Adams album. Also, New York, New York” and “Come Pick Me Up were written at least five years before The Cardinals wer even formed. Easy Tiger was…
I am currently reading "Germinal" by Emile Zola.. Last month I read "Heart of Darkness" and a couple of Hellblazer tradepaperbacks from the Vertigo Comics imprint (namely "The Devil You Know" and "The Family Man" collections). All great stuff.
I might get around to watch eventually. I'm just not making it a priority. But you refering to the series as "technically a sequel" slightly wets my apetite for it. I don't know, I'll see where my fancies take me.
How can one only enjoy the series more after watching the movie when the story is basically the same? It seems to me that having watched the Coen Bros. film previously would be a disadvantage to someone interested in the series, as they would be subjected tot he same story twice. I am glad so many people were on board…
True Detective to me felt like a eerie nightmare I didn't want to wake up from. It had great characters acted by superb actors and perfect pacing, direction, photography and writing. Plus it was absolutely filler free. Can't beat that.
I might get around to see it but frankly TD strikes me as quite hard to beat. The show left me in absolute awe. I hadn't been addicted to a show this bad for quite a long time.
The Coen Borthers/Fargo correlation is what has been preventing me from watching Fargo - The Series. It seems to me that the full length is too flawless to be beat.
His attempts at beatnik influenced faux meta-autobiography with poorly constructed Joycean influenced stream-of-conscience structures are pointless pseudo-literary excursions that serve non other than himself and whose novelty fuelled only by his celebrity status is bound to wear off pretty soon - at least I hope so.
