The end of the first game didn’t just feel tacked on, it dragged like hell as well. It felt like they tacked on like 4 more large sections just to pad it out.

There aren’t any major Mario games slated for anytime soon though. Literally the only Mario game announced that isn’t out is Mario Tennis Aces, and I don’t think anyone would mind cutting that one off.

Seeing as how they’ve said this is going to be much more like Xenoblade 1, I’d definitely expect a dark sci-fi story out of the sequel. Xenoblade 1's story is absolutely incredible, and I hope they don’t fuck this up.
