I really wish he would try the crowdfund route. I think he would be surprised how much support he would get from people who want to see his next work. If I had the cash I’d put it up myself for him to get A Topiary made. Alas. 

I was lucky enough to catch this a couple weeks back here in San Antonio, with Hawke & Dickey sticking around for a live Q&A afterwards. Hawke’s enthusiasm was palpable, and the connection between Dickey and himself for what they set out to do was utterly sincere. Great flick, tears were shed, and I definitely walked…
