She was a pretty awesome guidance counselor. I was very much a Kristy type, if you read the character as being a total baby dyke in love with her nerdy best friend. Because I was a total baby dyke with a crush on my guidance counselor.

She went to Smith and then Columbia Teacher’s College. She was super smart and graduated two or three years ahead in high school, so was maybe 23 or something ridiculous when I was 18. This thread prompted me to google her and she’s now a private college consultant type, which in some ways is hugely disappointing
