She was a pretty awesome guidance counselor. I was very much a Kristy type, if you read the character as being a total baby dyke in love with her nerdy best friend. Because I was a total baby dyke with a crush on my guidance counselor.

She went to Smith and then Columbia Teacher’s College. She was super smart and graduated two or three years ahead in high school, so was maybe 23 or something ridiculous when I was 18. This thread prompted me to google her and she’s now a private college consultant type, which in some ways is hugely disappointing…

I feel as though I need to drop everything & watch this movie. I wasn’t big on the Babysitter’s Club books growing up, so I assumed the movie wouldn’t appeal to me... However, this cast is like peak nostalgia, & I feel like I ought to go back to their original roots. At least once.
