Everyone, THIS IS SLOWED DOWN MASSIVELY.
Yeah, bootcamp also plays hell with drive fragmentation levels.
I think the real question is: was I holding the computer wrong?
I dont use laptops.
I tried to post a typical options set like so:
But what if you use a Mac cinema display on a PC?
Oh, you're using a laptop.
Dude, do you want me to re-download the utility and screencap the results?
I dont really have any problems with windows.
According to practical use, mac's need defragmenting.
I would love to move to Linux, but I play video games along with working on my PC.
It defrags the hard drive, sure, but only defrags files under 20 megabytes. Download a disk utility and check your drive.
Protip: Mac's need to be defragged.
What terrible computers are you using? I boot into windows 7 in around 10 seconds.
I've spent quite a bit of time reading about linux on wikipedia, and it's amazing how most modern OS's are forks of Linux and Unix.
Whenever I hear news about (non-android linux) I feel this... apathy. I can get angry about how Apple has overcharged for the hardware needed (non-hacked anyway) it's relatively good OS, I feel a slight warmth in my heart for Windows, but Linux just doesn't even register.
It's a way to get credit cards, nothing real.
