Weird, I saw the Cybertruck a LOT this past weekend.

This slide show was a nice trip down memory lane. Made me realize how many awesome car toys I had completely forgotten about!

When you DID manage to jump the train, it was a triumphant moment!  Ever try to jump THROUGH an open box car?  Pretty sure it was impossible but dammit, I tried!

I got The Pit Change Charger when I was 5 and it locked in my love of stock car racing and working on cars. I fantasized about being AJ Foyt at Daytona back when there were only 4 races televised a year. I can’t tell you how many times I took that car apart and ‘rebuilt’ the engine, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on…

I, too, had the Road and Rail AND the jump. HOURS spent playing that with my step-brother and cousins. I shit myself laughing after a particularly brutal crash. I was 8. I want another one now. I’m 55.

I remember that!  I also remember a plastic Corvette likely made by the same company that had a long rod with a steering wheel at the end that you could sort of “steer”.  Havent been able to find a pic of one of these.

Yep, had that exact same set that met a similar demise. One of my aunts worked for Mattel in the mid 70s and I got a few prototypes that I loved into oblivion. Worth a ton now but wouldn’t dream of trading the fun had for some money.
