Just wanted to say that your name is gold...California gold.
Former illegal engine swap driver in SoCal that hot smogged my cars... I agree. Not sure what this dealer was thinking. Are those parts CARB exempt? I doubt a brand new Velostar has any CARB EO stickers.
These mods make this car illegal to register in California. I also question how they are getting that much power out of a stock turbo, even with DP and exhaust, which there must be a tune there.
Props for the diagram - I reckon you’re probably right on this one, now that I think about it. I do still think that for someone that has no other option for mobility, it could be a good deal, as long as they understand the inherent issues.
Well yeah... you are right... I call it mild steel because I work with 18 GA 304 SS all day and it is usually around 520 ~ 590 mpa, but work hardens really quick with just a few bends... whereas car sheet metal is much thinner and bends like butter.... Even 16 ~ 14 GA galvanized is butter for us at the shop where we ea…
Oh, I wasn’t saying that someone should buy a Camry over this. I was just noting that the idea that spending $10k is going to get you something with a warranty is no longer remotely conceivable. Realistically, spending $10k now means you are looking at cars 7-10 years old with over 100,000 miles. That was my only…
If it was a beater, use it in the winter. However, this could be an appreciating asset and it therefore pays to keep it nice. There’s a big market for collectable 4x4's. Nobody would drive a mint first gen Bronco in the winter unless they were wealthy or insane.
Radwood here I come.
Take the nearly 10K asking price and buy 8 or 9 rusted out “holy grails” instead, thereby also getting him in hot water with his town again.
Seatbelt use in the U.S. is higher than it has ever been, with the IIHS reporting 86 percent of drivers belting up. More than half of people who die in vehicle crashes, however, are not clicking it.
Those are ram taillights
Especially when you feed in $40K to get the F150 and it gets hung up on the Mirage on the way down and you have to feed in another $3.25 to purchase the Mirage to get your F150. Or does that only happen to me?
Thank you for bringing up a thing about these.
*This is ABSOLUTELY the wrong take*My guess, is that you don’t know the car that is “giving up”. There is nothing that the Volvo can do other than break more and be more expensive to repair (late Ford era Volvo - fight me). Neither are “track focused” and both have a top that goes down and cruise at the same 35mph…
The Swedish Sebring is here to start your week. Is it boring? Heck yeah. It’s is really boring? I can’t hear you. Heck yeah. A little louder. (Mild coughing noises, as things don’t seem to be getting any louder.) This is a fun car, huh? Are you feeling the excitement? (More coughing.)
I have a Fairmont Durango
I like it. I really like it. I 1979 like it. But I don’t $13,500 (U.S.) like it.
This is the Detroit equivalent to macaroni art from grade school.
