First thing I noticed. The original had Crown Vic/Grand Marquis wheels. Original sled on the right, new one on the left.

Well, they keep on coming here in Sacramento. Lowrider Astro Van allegedly in a SnoopDogg video for $15K: https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/hayward-1988-custom-built-lowrider/7505312274.html

How about a Gremlin with a BMW grille, plywood dash and yoke steering? For EIGHTEEN THOUSAND AMERICAN DOLLARS...

The 4 cylinder was mocked in the article, but TBH I would prefer it. Far easier maintenance. That said, saddled with an auto in a wagon would have perhaps been a bit much. I dont recall if these were available with a 2.2 stick, but if so that would be the one for me (and make me want to pay asking price.  If it was a

Nope. That was that was an ‘83 or possibly an ‘84 Mercury Marquis. The K car was driven by the two detectives who said “we’re not gonna fall for the banana in the tailpipe” but Taggert and Billy drove a Marquis.

THIS IS AN ‘01 HONDA! HOW DARE YOU!

I dunno - I have had both a 1992 Grand Marquis and a 2005 Town Car and really - for the size of the thing the fuel mileage was pretty damn good I thought. I used the TC for a commuter (40 mile RT freeway) and it never gave me less than 22 mpg. Can’t recall what the GM gave but it wasnt much worse.

While a suburb of Sacramento, there is farmland (and farmers) in the area.  Wouldn’t surprise me if they had a farm or contractor fuel truck in the fleet.

This one is probably my favorite. About 20 seconds in - YARD SALE!

Of course it’s a G35.

Okay, I am dumb and need this part explained to me.

Awww yeah

Well, no - but I do hate the 2011 refresh a fair bit less.

First gen 300s. The pic says it all.

Having had the pleasure of working with both companies over the years...

Biggest red flag here besides a 20 year old niche EV is the lack of recent photos. It’s not like you have to drop the negatives off at FotoMat and wait a week for them to come back before you can send them off with your 3 bucks and 20 word ad copy to AutoTrader.

That is gonna take a few coats of wax to even out

First rule of option 2 is we never talk about option 2.

My ‘86 Celebrity got to 377K. It did take two transmissions to get there. The PO had the original 440T-4 replaced with a factory reman Goodwrench transmission and added a huge trans cooler at the dealerships recommendation around 150K. I bought it with 205K and religiously changed that fluid about every 25 thousand.

The factory didn’t, but the aftermarket did.
