26K? Hahahah - I’d bet that’s pretty close to MSRP at the time.

I have to disagree with you a little bit. The OHC Pinto motor has some redeeming children that respond well to modifications.

Monza, Malibu that I can recall.  I’m sure their Pontiac/Buick variants as well.

I’m with you there, but only for the 2.0L SOHC Focus. Those things were notorious for dropping the valve seats into the engine, destroying it. The 2.0L Zetec DOHC versions were MUCH better and tough to kill.

Absolutely not the same.  Tempo/Topaz was a pushrod OHV motor, most closely related to the old 200 straight 6 from the 60s.  The Ranger motor was a decendant of the OHC 2.0/2.3 Pinto motor.

Not necessarily the worst of either individually, but the absolute worst engine and transmission to ever be tied together:

When you do the nose swap, that newer stuff has value. I was looking for one to update my 2006 and they always went fast and at a premium price.

Who cares? At least they didn’t use their freaking THUMB, blocking a huge chunk of the picture. Yeah lady, I wanted your phone to feature the results of your discount salon trip instead of the thing you’re actually trying to get people to buy! MDK!

Now playing

This is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the picture. I’m such a jerk.

Couldn’t agree more.  This is clapped out Nissan Versa money.

The rocker panel sections are particularly offensive. Cannot unsee.

Oh take your star, you incredible bastard you!

Yup.  One of my kids had to move out of his rental because the landlord bailed and sold all of his properties.

Yup, we looked at selling just before the market imploded last time and while we could have doubled what we paid just 5 years prior everything else went up too and all we would have done in the end is raised our property taxes significantly because of the price difference. We werent really getting any better of a

A nephew of mine just did this. Paid close to 15% over asking just to secure it after getting outbid several times. It’s not a bad house but damn he overpaid. At least the interest rates arent bad. I remember my aunt and uncle had a 11% note on their place way back in the 70s or early 80s

Yeah, it’s bonkers out here.  Our small, basic house outside Sacramento is supposedly worth 500K now.  Guy down the street with a smaller house and lot but same builder as ours just went for 489K after being listed for 450.  Sold in 3 days.

I wonder if they found any whistling bungholes... spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, Hüsker Düs and don’ts. Cherry bombs, nipsy dazers, with or without the scooter stick... or one single whistling kitty-chaser?

IT BLOWED UP REAL GOOD!

My Ram had a flaky BCM when I bought it. Didnt notice it on the test drive on a clear sunny day but later realized I was missing the license plate lamps, one taillight and interval wipers. Junkyard BCM fixed it.

For an extra 10 grrr, you best not be writing it in sharpie my man.
