It’s amazing in this day and age the extent people will not critique the things they love at all, and have this blind loyalty. Tesla did a shady thing here, and it is important because it can be a harbinger if things to come (re: feature removal and so on from used car purchases). Secondly, it’s hard not to side

It’s only significantly different if you’re trying to make Tesla seem less scummy. Manufacturer sells car with option identified on the Monroney Sticker. Manufacturer no longer owns the car and removed option without notifying actual owner. Its pretty fucking basic.

Holy bootlicker, Batman. So dealer nuts car, Tesla removes feature (not the first time, allegedly), and THE DEALER is the bad guy? Yeah they should have said “There seems to be an issue with the FSD, but Tesla yanking features because you’re not the original purchaser is BS.

Dude when you buy a car, does the contract say it has an AC pump included, or do you assume if it has AC as an option and it was present when you bought it, you need to get it in writing or they can remove it?

Y'all ain't Grimes, Elon Musk doesn't want you in his bedroom, settle down.

This shit right here is why I well never buy a fucking Tesla. The company does something shitty and unethical, and fuckwits like you come out of the wood work to accuse everybody else of being the bad guys.

Take Elon’s dick out of your mouth for a few minutes.

I completely agree with every single syllable. Part of my distaste for this whole model is exactly that— the implied waste of “iPhone-like” throw-away functionality, with the assumption these cars will last 100 years and drive 10 million miles... when the Apple model clearly indicates you’d be damn lucky if it lasted

This is very similar to the Apple business model. Buy a fancy Apple phone, laptop or computer. If you’re the first owner for a couple years and take care of it, it’s half decent apart from the cloak and dagger of trying to avoid necessary recalls.

I’d add, in Rich’s case, that anybody who hunts down cars with 400V DC circuits, with infinite available current capability, that have been flood-damaged?

+1 internet point for Waxahachie -- I work in that town :p

I have no idea why you would trust Elon Musk’s company more than you’d trust a used car dealer.

you love tesla that much you ignore the proof in the article, Car salesmen and dealers don’t do shit like this very often . A) as a sales guy do you really think I want you back because we are pieces of shit ? No see id much rather sell you and your family and friends a car. Then try and take advantage of you to make

Yeah, I can’t believe he holds a fulltime job, but he apparently does.

Sounds like him and Tracy should team up. He does a similar routine with rust.

Rich Rebuilds videos keep showing up on my feed and they always have titles that make me worried to click. Its like the dude is a masochist, every video has a different looking car and a different problem.

I’m a big fan of Rich Rebuilds YT channel... and he’s already had a lot of Love-Hate on trying to get support and parts on older Teslas.

I think they’ll eventually follow the John Deere model as far as service and repairs but I don’t know if that’s something they could apply to older models OTA. Hopefully not. If they start requiring proprietary code to use old batteries that could effect a lot of people's plans for those outside of Tesla customers.

I kinda like this little Shane Morris kid.

The claim is that its stable with no WAN connection forever.
