Imma let you finish but the 500E is the most badass sedan of the 1990's.
That’s not how a modern turbo engine works. They’re nearly always producing positive pressure - the efficiency gains come from using the otherwise wasted exhaust energy. There’s a really good document from Ford floating around that goes into the details of Direct Injection, turbos, and low-rpm operation that I can’t…
It’s because the “driving at 43 mph and part throttle everywhere” is exactly how the EPA determines MPG. They’re just gaming the system just like everyone else.
I have a 2017 Sierra with the 5.3 and routinely average over 25MPG in the country at 65 mph.
Having driven a 2017 Silverado with the 5.3 for a couple weeks, I can say the fuel economy was quite impressive. Also the slower you could bare to go on the highway the more the V4 mode kicked in. And on country roads at 55-60mph, that system really shined! Got over 30mpg doing that.
I love how that guy’s main flash of inspiration is always to make the naming convention absolutely baffling. What is a Q50? Does anybody know?
It’s almost like the people that like to drive cars want a different sort of vehicle than the ones actually buy them.
Yeah, the entire Jalopnik staff has been down on Cadillac for a long time; they act like they were big proponents of the CTS V wagon, but when it was selling they didn’t seem so high on it.
You’d be blown away by how much shit like “free maintenance” will swing a buyer even of a luxury car. I sell Infiniti’s and have closed plenty of deals by throwing in free maintenance over a bigger discount, because people value it more in their heads than an extra $500-$1000. It’s weird, but it’s true
I wondered if anyone would notice my error. Take my star
Yes. It’s a matter of convenience, and it’s also one less discussion to be had with the finance manager when you buy the car.
Update: I wish I could change a term here. I believe the term is not “free” but “included” maintenance. This is a guy that talks about how good the food is that is “included” in First Class while, I’m licking the inside of the peanut bag in the Bob Uecker seats.
I think it’s the same part of him that thinks the frequent flyer lounge is worth all the effort of being a frequent flyer. To him, the frequent flier lounge is a “free” perk. While to me, it’s a sign that you fly too much and the airline can afford to toss you back some crumbs (and I’d rather spend time in my living…
Luxury buyers look at things differently. I can’t tell the difference between a $20 bottle wine and a $200 bottle, especially when I am more than half way through. He can tell you the difference between years on the $200 bottle. Free maintenance is one of those things his refined pallet looks for.

Passenger bodywork delete: $13,097.66.
Sorry I'm no expert but from what I read on the internet is that where the LS goes?
That’s some impressive packaging! Just looking at that picture has made all my fingers bleed though
+1 Luftwaffe
