Sir, you bout to get sent back into the grays. But thank you for your service.

As much as I want evs to succeed  I question the need to expand the credits.  Go try to buy any of these cars and get one in the next 6 months.  I think the demand side is strong enough on its own.  It feels like investing in charging infrastructure would do more to dance the cause.

The public doesn’t know how to flush a public toilet nevertheless how it works.

That’s a troubled bridge over water.

It’s not just $5.50 gas. It’s everything else going up along with it.

I firmly believe that 99% of accidents can be avoided if you pay attention to your world. The guy above us that got hit by a red light runner? Had he looked both ways before going through the intersection, that wouldn’t have happened.
Left turning people that SMIDSY? There are things you can do to get their attention.
I

You’re making a strawman argument that the only people who care about gas prices are upper middle class types who drive lifted Super Dutys to Burger King. Yes, of course, those people are complaining too, but millions of people have no choice but to drive every day, and they’re not rich, nor are they all driving gas

Yeah, the obvious thing to point out in that Tesla/Miata/Prius/etc comparison is that the bike is giving you ALL of those AT THE SAME TIME, for a fraction of the price of any ONE of them.

Ban Cars doesn’t mean ban cars.

I’m gonna be honest, I think the low interest/long term car loan party is nearly over. Once we have a big correction, fed rates are 3.5+%, and gas is $6/gal no one is going to be buying $60k trucks.

You know what Ford could be spending that money on? Product re-investment. Tesla outspends everyone in dollars per vehicle going to R&D by a about 3:1 compared to competitors. Instead of worrying about the “experience” post warranty, how about trying to make better cars that don’t look and feel 100 years old post

You’ve got valid points, but there’s a scale problem. A rich person buying a $60-$80k Tesla is one thing, someone making $50k/yr that lives in an apartment and has no charger outside buying a BEV is another. Someone who lives in southern Cali that doesn’t have to worry about cold related range issues is one thing,

Oh the religion of climate change…..

Some writers think that reflexive cynicism is a valid substitute for thoughtful analysis.

Cool enough bikes, but quite possibly the worst execution of a slide show I’ve seen here... and that’s saying a lot.

Neutral: I’m mad that Jalopnik’s front page is 50% necroposts these days.

They didn’t have a scandal involving a governor to distract from before.

Up north in Minnesota they drive these everywhere on and off road, including the bar. Not a plate in site

Counter-counterpoint: The PT Cruiser, while looking like it fell out of the Ugly Tree and hit every branch on the way down, wasn’t horrid once they revised it. My roommate for years had an ‘03. It drove okay and was deceptively useful in regards to how much stuff and how many people would fit in it. Really, the only
