This is a pretty good workaround actually. Get the loan of your choice if needed (and if you don’t actually want to pay cash), take out a dealer loan, pay it off immediately. Dealers suck.

This is nothing new, 7 years ago I remember doing a bunch of home equity loans and people were buying cars- used the dealers financing and paid it out after a couple of days otherwise no cashback or incentives
