Somewhere a shark is swimming peacefully in the ocean. A shadow appears on the water's surface. The shark looks up and thinks, "Did a Waverider just jump over me?"

Thea stars in The Truman Show. *shrug* Hey, why not? Clearly this is the giant-sized bomb shelter and of course Malcolm is saving, for the nine jillionth time, the daughter he, um, puts in danger that he has to save her from.

Do they HAVE to hotshot everything? I was waiting, hoping really, for Barry to say to Iris, "You have absolutely no sense of timing." The writers still approach the whole Arrowverse like each episode is self-contained. Yes there always needs to be a "dilemma of the week" but beyond that there has to be 2 show, 4 show,

Ahhh! Yeah that was a stinker. I think I used Harlan as an example here because his Star Trek script, even though he later raged against its execution by Gene Roddenberry, is an example of how you actually go about doing a back to the past sci-fi story.

Goldman? Mayer? Madison? Don't get the reference.

Sometimes I get the feeling these scripts are put together in a game of Beat the Clock; or to put it another way, the running time of the episode is 44 minutes. Which takes longer, the writing or the viewing? LoT just crams so much "stuff" into one episode that it fails a crucial measurement: If everything is

It seems I'm one of the few who actually really liked this episode. Sometimes a show just needs to have a bit of a laugh with itself.

Uh huh. You know, I hate to be brutal about it, as I really do enjoy all three Arrowverse shows but - between you and me - I'd shoot the entire writing staff out of a cannon and into the side of a mountain. I note that a lot of the commenters here use wrestling comparisons. They're not wrong - in fact this crew makes

To be brutally honest, I don't think Legends of Tomorrow hits its stride until it frees itself of the whole Vandal Savage plot line. Every episode, but particularly this one, I think 'they may not be able to kill him permanently, but at least kill him temporarily so he is no longer Per's tutor.' I look forward to

For LoT to work it needs to follow the ST:TNG template - an A story and B story. This week we had A,B and also C and D. It's too much for one episode and destroys any notion of arcs. The light romantic sub-plot is now done and dusted in a single episode which is a minor shame as Kendra actually has a certain energy
