Why is the US version not allowed to tow more? The EDM Fiat Doblo is rated to tow 1300kg which is 2866lbs.

You just need the right tires. No other factory car has solid axles front and rear with three locking differentials. Also not mentioned is that the entire body is made out of 1.5mm thick steel panels wich is somewhere between 16 and 17 gauge.

I don’t think it’s for packaging reasons. With two ball joints caster will change depending on the steering angle. You can’t do that with a single ball joint

The car you want exists for almost 30 Years and is still in production. It’s called Toyota Landcruiser HZJ71, but I don’t know if you can buy it in the US. Solid axles front and real, a short wheelbase and a 4.2 liter inline 6 Diesel.

While it isn’t very heavy I tow a 2900lbs boat twice a year with a FWD Audi A6. It works pretty well, even uphill on a steep gravel ramp from the crane, that picks up the boat, to the street. But you’ve got to keep some momentum. If you stop, you have to let it roll down and try again. Also we have less load on the

There’s quite a lot confirmed. You can configure it for a while now on the German BMW site and all the specs are there, too.

I was once driving a Audi A3, when one of the shifter cables broke, so I only had 3rd and 4th gear. I discovered this while trying to parallel park, but still managed to get into the parking spot, because luckily the road was going uphill, so I could just let it roll backwards.

It does, at least here in Germany. As a brown, manual, diesel wagon with 175 Hp.

I think Lamborghini is using Mitsubishi diesel engines on their entry level “vehicles”.

You can roll coal with even tinier things:

I think they just bought the Ferrari with their new budget.

Do you really have to pay before you can fill up your car in the US? That must be really annoying. Here in Europe the sequence usually is:

This is why the newer Golfs with urea injection have a twist-beam rear suspension and no longer a multilink. But swapping the complete rear suspension and subframe won’t be cheap.

Do you think they will use flat four engines or a V4, like in their lemans car?

My Grandfather worked for Volkswagen from the 50s till the 90s and I’ve got a full room of old Volkswagen stuff, mostly the internal booklets, where the layout was glued together and some other unfinished, maybe never published stuff. When I find the time, I will search for more about this car here. But in the short

Is there a “Dyno-mode” like on the old Smart? You could deactivate every electronic helper including ABS by holding some buttons during startup. That should make the car a lot better (not for the average buyer though).

I’m like 15 minutes away from the Volkswagen Museum until Sunday. But the only cars I could offer to drive are a 94 Miata 1.8 and a 84 Landcruiser BJ42. And the Landcruiser doesn’t run, even though you can push it by hand. Steering is kind of hard, because there is no interiour and no steering wheel right know. I

The car itself doesn’t seem too bad, but the price is way too high. I could get something similar here in Europe for 2000€ - 4000€. Like this example, that even has the third row of seats.
