Framerates have to get below ~10 for me to start getting fussy. But I’m also still okay with watching old solarized VHS tapes with tracking issues on a 10" B&W CRT, so I get that I probably have a rare condition that requires medical supervision.

My personal advice? Buy an N64.
Reasons?
* They’re still relatively cheap despite retro game collections driving older prices through the roof in the last 5 years.
* I’ve never met anyone who didn’t love Mario Kart, and
* perhaps most importantly, N64 is the only system that provided solid training wheels when it came…
I wound up doing a massive write-up of my first play through. Rim world does so much by leaving a lot to the imagination but overloading said imagination with an insane amount of details, and an event system that seems singularly focused on hacking at confirmation bias.

I completely missed the Kickstarter but saw this post, read the description, thought “huh...” and am now 8 hours in with two co-workers equally addicted.
