It’s more like “add 20%”. E.g. 100 kph actually equals 62 mph but in your formula it’s 55 mph (100/2 = 50+10% = 55). Or 50 kph = 31 mph but in your formula it’s 28 mph (50/2 = 25+10%= 28).
