My parents live in a wooded area, and I know that “Oh shit something just ain’t right” feeling followed by a mad, adrenaline-fueled sprint back home very well.

This reminded me of the following story.

Welp, thanks for ruining the hike I was planning to take this morning.

This just happened, on the 1st of this month.

This isn’t my story, personally, but it’s one that has kicked around my family for so long that it definitely feels like it’s mine. It’s been told and re-told, but I do think that the central details are very solid.

Not so much scary, but definitely creepy, and a legendary story in my family.

Okay, so this is the first real life thing to freak me out in a long time. Here it goes.

I grew up in a 200-year-old house on an old pig farm. We were always digging up old stuff in the field and playing in the washhouse and climbing the old apple trees. It was very Tom Sawyer. We were absolutely, 100% not allowed in the barns because they were deathtraps. There were only five other kids nearby and we all

I run often, on trails when I can, especially during our deep South summers, where any shade is a blessing. I usually run with our two huskies, who look like wolves and who I consider to be a pretty damn good deterrent to anyone who might bother me when we’re out.

I’ve only told this story to my closest friends. I haven’t even confided in my sister (for fear of the obvious shame). Please buckle in because this tale needs to be told in length.

My good friend-let’s call her Jane to protect her identity- told me her ghost story last year, and since then it has been confirmed to me by several people who were around at the time. It took place back in the late 90's when she was in her early 20's.

I will preface this with the fact that unnatural movements freak me out. A lot.

Yup. The biggest news coming from this so far is a gun suddenly appearing near his body while police are standing there and those same police being caught on film dropping some “objects” around him. Video to it below.

I made a new burner account because I couldn’t remember my password JUST to comment this BUT there is a book called “How to Disappear Completely” about anorexia where the author talks about how women who are small (petite and thin, basically) are romanticized to be mysterious and artsy because they are small (and/or

Seriously if I have to read one more goddamn article about some idiot coming down here looking for southern “authenticity” and “realness” I’m going to lose my mind. You know why you can’t find it? Because all the authentic southerners have been run out of town by YOU. Like, the south is not some place full of friendly
