Tacos from scratch is like sandwiches from scratch. “From scratch” is an unnecessary qualifier that adds nothing but an air of superiority. You assemble or prepare tacos from various ingredients that you may or may not have cooked from scratch.

What does “tacos from scratch” even mean? If you’re using these hard taco shells, you’re not making those from scratch. If you saute meat, cut up veggies, and grate a little cheese is that “from scratch?” Are there boxed taco mixes like cake mixes I’m not aware of?
