MYOB. Always.
MYOB. Always.
I have come to believe that tipping habits reveal a person’s deep personality traits. Someone who goes out with someone else for a meal then cries about the bill or the tip is not someone I want in my life. It’s a symptom of narcissism or entitlement.
I’d love to see men who need women to look a certain way presented with a bill for it.
This is also the key to small talk.
I just joined a local makerspace, at which point I suddenly realized that, while I don’t require myself to be perfect, I much prefer to be imperfect without an audience.
It’s pretty elaborate compared to throwing the steak on the grill, cooking it on one side for a while, turning it over and cooking it on the other side until it’s done. All those tuna cans and herbs and liquid are just gyrations that replace experience. You’re right, it’s not a steak, it’s a roast, and what he’s doing…
A person who is comfortable with being assertive and does not avoid conflict often benefits from non-confrontational people’s behavior. I find, especially at work, if I express an opinion with a certain amount of force, I will get my way simply because no one wants to argue. This is called being a bully, and I have to…
Good for you. I think a little education and critical thought is all it takes to pierce the veil of marketing, peer pressure, and wishful thinking for them that are motivated. Seems to me most people are content to let others to do their thinking for them and that results in living a life designed by someone else to…
There ya go. Although I have to say “personal responsibility” is one of those political buzzphrases that make me cringe in anticipation of a pseudo-libertarian rant.
I could point out that the survival of the species is challenged rather than supported by the survival of defective individuals, but I won’t. I’ll only ask: where the hell did you get any of that out of my post?
I do live in what could be considered the modern day equivalent of a tree. I’m perfectly aware that it’s my choice whether to participate in the “evils” of civilization or not, and whether or not I reap the benefits of that participation along with paying the costs. I find the costs to liberty to be very high...higher…
“The notion that people with severe allergies are just a burden on the general, non-allergic population is false. They have every right to freedom that everyone else has, which includes being able to travel long distances, just as much as shorter distances.”
I have said to the gods and the sons of the god,
The things that whetted my thoughts;
But before thee alone do I now go forth,
For thou postest well, I ween.
No discussion of mileage? Used to be you’d get 15,000 a year, which is reasonable, for me anyway. Now I see it as low as 10,000 a year. The overage cost per mile keeps going up too. Of course, that’s not a problem if you buy the car at the end of the lease, but if you’re the type that wants to lease a car, turn it in…
Why, ye gods twain, with bitter tongues
Raise hate among us here?
Loki is famed for his mockery of typos,
And the dwellers in heaven he hates.
“...what’s throwing me off is suggesting an airline’s peanut policy is ‘evil.’”
“But I’m sure your individular experience is correct and we should just all go with it.”
Rest assured the airlines ONLY do any of this to limit liability. Also rest assured that the cost of “simply swapping out cashews for peanuts” is passed on to the consumer. People seem to want to read my original comment as opposition to accomodating people with special needs but it’s more of a commentary on…
I’m sure it’s something that he thinks he needs to advertise that makes him cooler than everyone else, kinda like the $700 leather pack and 10,000,000% earnings gap between him and the asian children that sewed it together.
Bull. I know plenty of people my age with nut allergies.
