Well, you already said you’re not interested in shopkeeper games. I mean, the repetitiveness is part of what we like about it. Though Reccetear is way better because it has an adventure mode where you actually go out with the adventurer, but Holy Potatos might actually be my speed of game.

I bought my wife part 2 before the PS2 went absolute. It was kind of the same game but they took a lot of the japanese charm away from it. We still own it, but we weren’t willing to finish it. Debating against a person’s opinion is generally not a good thing. Considering I already confessed my opinion I can see why you would mention it. I’m going to look at your answer like it didn’t jump the shark just to be fair.

There’s many psychological factors. I’m just simplifying it by saying “the game needs threats and oppressors”. PvE players want to collect things, PvP players want non-flying people so they can gang up on them and take all their loot. Both want content and a reason to play.

I love offbeat games. I’ll play an obscure game over mainstream any day. Metropolismania was fun too, think a Sims game meets SIM city. Fun.

I definitely want to look at this game when it is launched. I’ve enjoyed shopkeeper games. I’m waiting for Holy Potato to go down in price. I’ve played the Atelier games (though not as fun) but nothing beats the Reckettear game! So great. Capitalism, Ho!

The game needs to be slower. People would rather sprint content than marathon it. I say force everyone to return to nature and do a nature walk. Can’t enjoy the content if you are trying to prove you’re the best in some ego contest...
