I have actually read stories about this case on several different sites. Do you have some insight to add or do you just enjoy making snide comments? In any event I maintain that there is absolutely nothing in this case that merits children who have committed no crime being sent to juvie.

According to an article I read in the Washington Post, that’s her husband. Given his level of malicious prosecution, her behavior doesn’t surprise me at all.

Even without knowing all of the facts of the case it is possible to surmise that sending 3 children who have committed no crime to a juvenile detention centre is unconscionable.

She kept them separated too???

I agree that this judge is behaving like an idiot, and this situation is awful, but goddamn, I wish someone would sentence me to a month at camp. Good camp, though, not molester camp or death camp.

I bet my house the judge has a lot of problems with her own children. They either hate her or are suffering Stockholm syndrome. These decisions show that she is unfit parent herself.

They apparently refuse to even talk to anyone involved in the proceedings other than cussing them out including counselors, attorneys, teachers, police, and finally the judge. Even the 9 year old... Apparently the mother had told them that they ‘couldn’t really love her’ if they did.

For being such a brainwashing manipulator the mother seems to be showing remarkable restraint. If someone forcibly separated me from my children I would react...badly.

What??? That is insane. A 13 year old is a baby.

Obviously this is a complex case. The mother is not a saint here. This is a bitter legal battle. But most people are focusing their condemnation on the judge and this particular action...and they are 100% right to do so.

Because family court judges aren’t supposed to send kids to juvie. They don’t even have the jurisdiction to send kids to jail. The kids aren’t parties to the divorce.

Yes I practiced Juvenile law for some time and what fucked the kids up most was the realization that they had no say in the most fundamental aspects of their lives.

While an improvement over a juvenile detention centre, I don't like that these children are being forced to attend camp. The lack of respect that this judge is showing for the personal autonomy of these children is shocking. Another story I read about this included a quote from the judge heaping praise on the father…
