What a baller
What a baller
That third test on the Tesla really shows just how low the COG is on the Model X. It’s an impressive result, to say the least, and one that I always felt was overlooked in the SUV department.
I like to imagine a world where you go to a track day, and as you’re sitting there prepping your 944 for the track, Donald Trump rolls up in a caged, supercharged NA Miata, lowered on a set of Toyo Proxes R888 tires, wrapped around some Enkei RPF1s.
Fuck anyone that pronounces it “Cel-ick-ah”
I probably own that ‘75 Corolla now, tbh. I’ve got a ‘75 Corolla that I needed to pull the rear axle to replace it, and it took one good tug to break the leaf spring mounts right out of the car. Since the driveshaft slipped out of the transmission, I didn’t even use a wrench to pull the whole rear end out of that car.
SGI is such a joke. Everything from the lack of inspections, to the unorganized systems. The trick to play the system lies in Galon insurance. For some reason, these guys have never cared about any laws. I’ve plated cars that needed both a mechanical and a body integrity inspection, no problem. Non-platable…
Alberta, mainly. Sask gets its fair share for its size. Ontario is a bit rougher for JDM cars.
Us folk in the west are sitting here laughing at y’all, driving our cheap JDM units.
Is there any other way to own them?
Saskatoon. The company I work for does a bit of work near Yorkton, though.
The pros of Canada, though (specifically the drift scene) is cheap as hell JDM cars. Non-turbo S15s go for $5k-$6k all day. R33 Skylines are practically free. There is a massive surplus of cheap JDM cars 15-25 years old coming to Canada at insanely low prices.
I live in Saskatchewan, and I can tell you that these aren’t even that bad. I’ve daily driven cars that are much worse than this.
Maybe he meant Yaripodes, as plural for Yaris.
That’s nuts
Tell me about it. Mine ran me back only $6k 1 year ago, and it’s in great shape.
The CRZ was a seriously underrated car. Everyone saw “hybrid” and immediately tuned it out, but it’s not a hybrid in the traditional sense. The IMA system doesn’t feel like a hybrid. It’s literally just a power-adder. Pair it with the 6-speed, and you’ve got a seriously fun car.
A few years ago my dad and I drove from Saskatoon to Los Angeles and back in a ‘70 Datsun 240Z, which was interesting to say the least.
Just go for the classic Chevrolet rule. 10 years/150,000 miles.
