I feel like the alt right probably has some sort of ancestral fear response to that picture.

There were enough words followed by exclamation points in today’s Barf Bag Twitter roundup to produce many decent haiku variations. But this is what I believe to be the correct decoding:

Like they perfected Leif Garret.

Not just the “youths”, I’ve seen people in their 40s and 50s play out their adulterous and extremely bitter end of their marriage for all of social media to see.

Yeah, I’ll admit there are a couple of people I stay friends with simply for all their drama.

He looks like the hippie you’re not supposed to follow to a second location.

I don’t know who he is, but he looks like all three Hansons melded into one.

But first you must read this gripping account of the campaign

I read this article about a 50-something couple who were raising their three young grandsons. Why? Because the couple’s daughter and her husband had died from taking Fentanyl. Their daughter and her husband were found dead in their car (well the daughter was in the car, the guy was on the side of the road) with the

Oh Lord Help US. CNN has a reporter in Guam stating that people in Guam think that if they are struck by a missile they think they will all die and the reporter states, “IT IS NOT TRUE! Experts say that if you’re in your house find the center of the house, If you’re at the beach find a cave. Be prepared, it can save

“Death is only the end if you assume the story is about you.”

For those of you too young to recognize the impotent dread you’re feeling: Welcome to Cold War Fear Redux. Yes, you’re going to feel this all the time now. No, there’s no refuge.

It’s been a pretty okay life, up til now. Personally, I’m hoping for instant vaporization over lingering radiation sickness. You?

OMG!!! I did not see this! My sister is a nursing home inspector and mostly she can compartmentalize. Usually, she just talks about the towns she went to but there are sometimes she just says ‘I can’t talk about work’ with tears in her eyes. And it’s just horrible to think about what she might have saw.

I kind of get where she’s coming from. I have met her in person (I don’t want to elaborate how because it could cost me my job) and she’s not that different than a 19 year old you’d meet anywhere else. She’s also not that spectacular looking, but that’s neither here nor there.

She probably finds the concept overwhelming. She doesn’t have a meaningful high school education, is surrounded by people just like her, and probably doesn’t know what a normal life looks like.
