Ah yes, as in the Three Minajie who came to worship the baby Jesus. Clearly, that’s what this cover is meant to evoke. Must be the Christmas issue!

Takei was the first “liberal” that I realized may just be a token guy. He’s tweeted insuling things about the mentally ill before. He’s insinuated that women are “gross”, along with other sexist statements. He’s body shamed and fat shamed, in particular.

I’ve always been very conflicted about Howard Stern. While I appreciated that a lot of his schtick was a put on I was usually pretty uncomfortable with it (and attributed that discomfort to a slightly prudish element of my personality) But his interviews have really been a treasure trove of confessions of really bad

I don’t want him to go away and be quiet. I want him to own up to it, genuinely apologize and become an advocate. I want him to redeem himself and learn from it. I don’t think he will, but I want him to.

It saddened me to see so many people commenting in the other story that they don’t believe Takei’s accuser, even when they believe accusers in other cases.

Holy shit! Yikes and ouch.

You’d be surprised how good of a sell “we’re going to degrade the shit out of you” is for some men and women. For some masochists, that literally IS the upside.

My genuine reaction every time I’m confronted with the fact Melania is FLOTUS:

Trump is in Vietnam? I guess the bone spurs cleared up from whichever foot they were totally in (he can’t remember [even though he has one of the all-time great memories *holy shit is this really life, please someone wake me up*])

Now this is a good dilemma.

Or that you can borrow from the past in ways that don’t try to pretend the bad stuff didn’t happen or wasn’t a part of it.

My name is Greg Berlanti. After five weeks in a hellish Hollywood landscape I have come home with only one goal— to save my TV shows. But to do so, I can’t be the producer I once was. To keep a good image and not have DC rip my licenses away, I must associate with someone else. I must associate with something else.

Yes. Their relationship was highlighted in the Justice League International books in the 80s. Probably the best example of a healthy superhero marriage in comics books. (I was so pissed over what they did to her in the Identity Crisis mini-series.)

Indeed. Ralph and Sue are a husband and wife detective team, very close, do everything together. Basically a Nick and Nora Charles photocopy since comics shamelessly ripped stuff off back then. But it works.

I’ve actually been upset by him. He’s too pervy. I’ve never read his comics, but wasn’t he supposed to have one of the strongest marriages in comics of all time? (great casting, though, he’s a like a budget Jim Carrey)

Yeah, they give you a cash option for every prize. My roomie in college won the whole shebang and only kept a Mustang, paid the taxes with the rest of the prizes and still left with 10 grand or so in cash.

Can you still (or have you ever been able to, it’s possible I just made this up) take the cash equivalent of the prizes instead of the prize itself?

I was told there would be no math in Kinja.

I know what he was thinking...
