So they are going to compete wih gamepass by being worse and more expensive?

Oh neat... The cost of a 4K Netflix subscription allows me to play games I have already purchased digitally but can't access on modern hardware.

Get a hundred chapters in (I know this is a hell of an ask) and the art will be a) much better and b) something you’ve just become used to. And the story will be so good that you can’t put it down anyway. The thick noodle arms don’t last, and the gigantic gaping mouths, uh... well, they get less ugly and less common.

Isn’t the only way Google has been getting away with this the fact that nobody’s ever tried to take them to court? All this “we’re a for-profit company, not a public utility” and “we’re not employers and don’t have to abide by labor laws” horseshit needs to go away at somepoint.

Godspeed Bungie. I hope at the very

Is this what the kids these days call “sus”?

Yeah i tried a dating app once. Crafted a profile, tried to be original. Selected a few nice pictures (that were not of me sitting in a restaurant, beach or some touristy place). Got exactly zero matches and gave up after about two months. Learnt that apparently most people’s dominant personnality traits are:

Good for the everyperson.

Not to mention that a ton of those profiles are fake as are nearly all the messages that you’ll get in your in-box if you are using a US based service. They are all a waste of time and money.

Agreed!

I find that the sweet spot for a FROM game is to go in fairly blind, but look up how stats/scaling/upgrades work.

You seem... focused in on connection errors.

Definitely keep going without reading much if you’re ok with that. It’s such a wholesome experience.

The cool thing about going blind is that you can’t get frustrated about missing stuff because you’re simply unaware of its existence. Everything becomes a surprise

A lot of Souls players don’t look up guides either, there’s a certain amount of the community that holds looking up guides in disdain.  If you’d rather figure stuff out for yourself, I’d keep doing that at least for the first playthrough.

Yeah, I was out exploring near a lake and I found a cool double sword thing because a message told me “try jump” next to some tall walls. At first I was like(I can’t jump this) but then a bit later I realized my horse could double jump. I went back and found a cool pole sword thing.

GT 1/2 weren’t particularly pretentious, and GT 3/4 were only beginning to be pretentious. It’s GT 5 when they truly started believing their own hype and beginning to slowly vanish up their own arse. Still, that was 12 years ago, so quite a while.

To get you buying those sweet, sweet microtransactions of course.

Most of the game also requires an internet connection to play, even in single-player, supposedly to help cut down on cheating.”

Yep I play video games to escape real life.

But this game is extremely realistic in that I’m driving around in a Honda Civic and I can only dream about driving the nice cars.

In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions. At the same time, the pricing of cars is an important element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with real-world prices.”
