Eh, on a superficial level, it's similar to x-com. I'd put it in the same genre, at least.

Considering how much they're charging for this shit, these should look much, much better. The Ed skin is also complete trash.
I loved xiii’s battle system. It basically eliminated the need to endlessly select basic attack commands, made basic attacks more exciting since they could be magical or physical, and freed the gamer up to focus on making strategic decisions without worrying about inputting filler actions. It was an incredibly elegant…
“the reality is that this is just Nintendo doing whatever it wants because it can”
Yeah, I think you’d rip off all those plastic bits trying to make most turns you’d encounter driving this on the street
Yah, I play games to escape the mundane bullshit I already know. The more unfamiliar the better. I seek out stories about people nothing like me.
Enjoy what you like, but the writing and humor in the borderlands series is trash. “Lol random” humor had grown unbearable by the time the second game came out. Trash can be fun sometimes and games don’t need a good story to be good games. But will a film about games with a trash story be terrible? Of course it will.

It’s like people skipped the entire last three hours of the game. It baffles me that anyone who played remake missed the fact that this is NOT just a retelling of the original story.
I like them as a way to extend my time with a game I'm really into. It's fun to have some additional goals to pursue after I've beaten a game.
Par for the course. Giz writers are all technophobes now.
There was a bit of hope when it was looking like remote work was the future, but that hope seems to be fading. As a middle-aged dev, I'm more than a little anxious about what the next decade holds in store for my employment opportunities. I look around me, and I'm in the top 10% of devs in terms of age. I don't know…
You underestimate humanity's willingness to fuck.
Amazing 😁
God this site has become a shithole.
Blue Dragon was basically just Dragon Quest without the charm.
