Actually, modern SSDs have been shown to have a longer lifespan than a spinning drive (the lack of moving parts being part of it). There have been huge advances in wear-leveling (using different parts of the drive to spread “write wear” around the drive), so that the lifespan - even with constant usage - is well over…
