I didn’t like the dark, brooding, politicized look of the little of the Battlestar Galactica remake I watched - and I’ve watched the 1970s version end to end, and loved it, hokiness and all. Making Patrick MacNee (John Steed from the BBC Avengers series) the Cylon leader/God of Evil was a masterstroke.
