New Girl had the Junior Doom-yer (doom year) too.

Short's legal troubles might be the thing to kill him. If they don't kill him next week, they might have to if he's sentenced to jail.

Someone on tumblr said that jacket was made "with the shredded paper of a good script" and for all of the tumblr hate out there, they shade this show to high heaven and it's spectacular.

This is an interesting argument. Who do you think are the terrible actors Tarantino has mitigated? I'm curious.

I don't know what corner of tumblr that is, but I think most of tumblr - the very liberal majority of users - wants Olivia and Mellie together or even prefers Mellie because Olivia is giving Doormat Realness at the moment.

But Fitz IS a baby…

Please tell me she's in disguise as a horribly racist Asian caricature of a man. If we keep escalating the crazy, this could end with Fitz being trapped in the Black Lodge for TWENTY-FIVE YEARS.

Well obviously he was bemused. It's fucking hilarious.

Fallon should really just get rid of any current events he can't make into a song, dance, or game. His show is a variety show, and I love that. I do. Colbert should be edgier than Fallon, absolutely.

Jane Fonda!

FOX also has Sleepy Hollow. But the thing with CBS is that for a long time it's acted as a comfort zone for people who have more mainstream tastes - that's why people think CBS isn't quality, because it didn't shake things up like NBC did or FOX (Family Guy barely represents the FOX comedy brand anymore). Look at my

I saw his panel at NYCC and he described it exactly as you did. He didn't want to do the same thing, and in my opinion I wouldn't want someone I think is as funny as Pete Holmes talking about politics or Lindsay Lohan. If you pick a host, you should take that host as they are and let them really run free. Holmes is

But it's not a comedy or variety show; it's a news program. You go there to hear about the news, whether it's politics or entertainment. His job is to react to the world and make it understandable and funny for his viewers. Even when it's not a laugh basket, he's still smarter than almost anyone else on television.

It's also a more earnest program, as Jon is very much a real human - he gets visibly angry, he laughs at idiocy. and he even gets openly sad or tearfully happy. He's doing something unique too - his show isn't glossy. It's real.

I agree. What happened was CBS had the most common-denominator programming with a rare few shows that were somewhat beyond that (like HIMYM). Then they realized with Breaking Bad and auteur television doing so well, that they could actually produce elevated television to also capture the demographic of intelligent,

First of all, the "good" shows you listed are all dramas and most importantly, procedurals (for the most part). CBS has a ton of shitty procedurals too, and a ton of shitty comedies. They have tried to improve lately by bringing in more respected talent, but remember that this is the network of Ashton Kutcher

Plus, he has a late-night absurdity to his humor that fits the tumblr-type crowd that most enjoys his guests and topics of discussion.

THANK YOU for telling me this. I love Emerson but didn't know if I wanted to get involved in a procedural but this I can do. THANK YOU!! Also, The Good Wife and Elementary are CBS and both are good, so they're getting better in small doses.

I'd be here for Schaal Show or With Williams. Both of those ladies are really, really good.
