There's a reference to "Dragon Steel" being effective against Others. It's hinted that this is just another name for Valyrian Steel but never confirmed.

Well, the bar has definitely been set and I can't wait for them to top it again. Dragons should help. Even though he wasn't in it, this was a bad episode for Stannis.

Actually, check that. In the scene I just mentioned they took a human baby and turned it into a white walker with very little effort. There could be hundred or thousands, but there is clearly some sort of hierarchy.

Well, it's not much different than most armies. They kill what they don't like so they can take over the land they occupy, turn it into Iceteros and basically rule an icy wasteland of death. The Night's King does have a recorded history so that might be brought up in the show. I think Bran will be able to give us some

View from the hill was recognition and the stare down was confirmation.

They simply hate the living and want to kill anything with warm blood. Why are you on this review if you haven't read the books?

There were at least 13 White Walkers as seen in the baby transformation scene. Two are now dead.

Yeah I'll admit it's a reach but even Olenna thought he had to be someone looking for something. Everything he's done has hurt the people that hurt the Starks.

Squandered is a great way to put it. His story (on the show at least) peaked in the hot tub at Harrenhall and he has been a minor supporting player ever since. It's like they chose Brienne over him.

I feel like Jaime cleaning up Tywin's political messes in the Riverlands would have fit better with the show overall as opposed to the rescue mission. It also would have shed more light on the whole war effort from the Lannister POV and really portrayed the impact on the lesser lords and smallfolk. It would have fit

Either that or it's just a different way for Jaime to die. His trip to Dorne was ill-fated and ill-conceived from the start and his current predicament in the books is not much better. I'm still holding out hope that the Brotherhood could reemerge and that the Blackfish or The Hound will be leading them. A guerilla

No, not at all I love the discussion and feel I posted some interesting topics only minutes before you.

Yes it was horrific. Yes it was awesome. No it was not inappropriate, Gilly has spent her entire life dealing with sexual assault. There's not much to discuss there.

Tyene's display was to get Bronn's blood flowing so the poison would take effect. If she explained it as a lust poison it would have been much more effective. I think Shireen has a larger role to play in the books and in the show, she does have Targaryen blood after all.

Hide the zucchini

It's certainly starting to look that way. That shot of Dany watching her dragons eat was alarming. She really seemed to enjoy it.

I love how Dany seemingly "killed the girl" in this episode as well.

But I don't think the NW would be so emboldened while Stannis and his army are still there.

Marriages can deteriorate quickly and secrets are the best currency in Westeros. Way back in the pilot when Robert was visiting Lyanna he said "I'll kill every Targaryen I can get my hands on" or something along those lines. I think telling no one was the only way to truly keep Jon safe until he came of age.

I'm starting to think Trystane might be Aegon.
