“Well, make that decision is their right too, if fans go or stay that is fans decision to make, but fans have zero right to complain”

And again, negative reactions from unauthoritative 3rd parties aren’t worth the paper you wipe your nethers with. So let people react. Markets will thrive where the demand is or fail due to actual lack of interest as opposed to artificial barriers prompted by vocal minorities who want to be empowered through whining.
So now you’re transforming the conversation that was happening into the one you want to have, which is fundamentally the same as you claim the failure to address the monetization in the initial post to be, but now with intent.
So we have a fundamental disagreement, you only see benefit only when there is direct monetary compensation whereas I see benefit when interest in a product that could lead to future monetization.
True, but I never argued that they didn’t have that right.
Which is an issue why? I ask because so far as I know reddit is a forum of discussion rather than a collection of authoritative deliberation.
Except the comment I was replying to with that metaphor was entirely about painting a house and never referenced payment.
Correct.
The paywalling is IMHO a non-issue, hence I didn’t really bring it up.
The residual payback comes in the form of increased interest in your game via modding, which can manifest in either increased sales or increased long term interest which in turn could lead to add on sales, which is something Capcom is using heavily.
I wasn’t aware that I owned and liscenesed millions of houses that no one would ever see save the person living in each one. If they want to paint the inside of the house I allowed them to use like crap why would I care?
2 Things:
I don’t think Capcom is willing to give these fans exactly what they want.
I find it hard to take Capcom’s side here. The modders are enhancing the game for a subset of users at no cost to Capcom, with no consequence to the community that doesn’t want the mods. Seems like a win win to just sit back and remain silent.
None of those are Saiyan names, so that’s why they “break the rule”.
The Briefs family isn’t saiyan named, nor is Goku’s family. Saiyan names are vegitables, but saiyans not born into fully saiyan families don’t have saiyan names.
Hard to argue that with an add on product. Being that this is a mod rather than standalone software it makes sense to validate the prerequisite software, in this case the base game.
“Because it’s not the place of the modder to be concerned with the legality of a person’s product.”
Topical puns on the other hand...
Don’t get snippy about the fact that you don’t have a response and try turning it into my problem.
