@puffa469: i'm all for taxing religious institutions and cutting the military budget. However, i get the impression that Americans feel military spending is way larger than it actually is (5% of GDP which btw is like 4.9% too much hah). What we really need to do is fix spending in entitlement programs (SS, medicare,

@Maximegalon: yeah same here. The gizmodo ipad circle jerk is bad enough. Kotaku too? Only lifehacker retains some semblance of dignity. I hope gawker got some money from Apple for all this, they deserve it. Meanwhile.... off to joystiq!

it might be 'easy way to quit smoking' by allan carr. That's how i quit. It has this great metaphor that smoking is like wear a pair of shoes that are too tight just for the relief you get when you take them off.

i remember that but it was an American show that copied it. Can't recall the name of the show though.

@Theoutlet: seriously where does drew brees get off being such a decent human being AND a pro sports star. It's one of the reasons i hate the San Diego Chargers front office, for the way they did brees.

@Snoozey: two thumbs up. Him and andre johnson are my 2 favorite receivers in the game specifically because they're not douchebag diva's.

@dracosummoner: humility from a pro sports athlete? Actually, in all fairness larry fitzgerald was on the cover last year and he seems relatively humble.... for being the highest paid receiver in football that is.

@gundaman: wow what you mentioned sounds awesome. Bungie! Listen to this man! I read it similar to upgrading systems in the old mech warrior games. You can only do so much and everything subtracts from a pool of points, everyone has the same pool of points, just higher ups have access to diff. shit. Something

@Witzbold: i'm one of the rare few for whom ODST was actually worth it. Some friends had started playing halo3 online again after i got rid of the game. So i got ODST and problem solved. I suppose it's just BARELY worth the money if you don't have access to halo3 mp and want to play it, on top of firefight and the

wish i was there. You guys should hit up noname seafood restaurant and neptunes oyster bar. (I HIGHLY recommend the hot lobster roll at neptunes) ohhhhh and the pizza at reginas.... no reason to eat shitty food in between gaming sessions.

@hinges: lets not forget that football is market controlled. So if you live in the DC area u're getting the Washington Redskins game on TV. A few franchises make it to national prominence and thus they have a larger fan following (ie. dallas cowboys). In many many cases though you can only watch the games of the

there's a great bbc documentary called 'century of the self' that reminds me of this whole fanboy thing. It talks about how we now purchase our identities by purchasing products that mesh with our 'lifestyle'. Anyways, that reminds me of fanboyism. Ohhhh conspicuous consumerism, how wonderful you've made our world.

@Swirlbeard: it was so easy to do a clean install of 7 that my 65 year old father with only an average understanding of computers could do it on his own.

what is it w/ the fans of this game? You can get it on PSN. If you loved it before do you REALLY need a remake? Just play it again. Hell i STILL play star control 2 and x-com and those games are even older than ff7.

@Taggart6: I am reminded of a great quote by the ever wise wu-tang clan. Cash Rules Everything Around Me

@-MasterDex-: they just released the 1156 recently too for the i5's and the mainstream i7s. What i heard is they are going to support both the 1366 and 1156 one for enthusiasts and one for mainstream audience.

while cross game chat would be nice, i'd really love to see parties like the 360 has. Get your friends into a party then launch a game and you're all automatically on the same team complete with private chat channel.

@Culebra: but they would bitch and moan about it.

@Smash_Bro: why in the world would cross game chat annoy you? You mean your friends annoy you? Cause that's the only people chatting with you across games generally.
