i am sure that you didn’t say this, but just in case, atheists do have morals. we just don’t need a punishment/reward system to live by them. :)

Usually only comment to point out stupidity, but I’ll make an exception. 4 years sober is EXTREMELY impressive, and you shouldn’t feel bad at all for craving a drink after a recent move coupled with starting what I assume is a new job. You’re awesome for having resisted it.
Not cheesy at all - in fact, the one thing that keeps me sober more than anything is remembering how I used to feel. Spending the days hungover, bloated and generally disgusting is not something I miss.

I have a sober friend that doesn’t want people to know she struggled with addiction. Now when she is in that situation (social drinking where she has to refrain), she always says “No thank you, I don’t enjoy the way it makes me feel.” I’ve never seen anyone question her about it.

I’ve only dealt with addiction through my boyfriend’s own battle, so please don’t take this as the ultimate truth or health advice.
